I attended a FRAILTY MYTHS workshop early in 2017. The FM crew lead our group through a restorative and transformative morning that centered our learning and interactions in safety, appreciation, and collectivity. I showed up that morning never having used a power tool (despite growing up with a contractor father), unsure of the what the day would hold, and feeling alone in a room full of strangers. I left the FRAILTY MYTHS workshop with (1) a solid, tangible stool that I literally made; (2) a deeper understanding of the personal and interpersonal impacts of living within a patriarchy; (3) deep and enduring respect and love for FRAILTY MYTHS and the critical and empowering experiences they are providing.
